International Mathematical Olympiad 2017 (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) Scores

At the 2017 IMO held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 615 contestants from 111 countries competed. 48 gold medals were awarded to those scoring at least 25; 90 silver medals were awarded to those scoring from 19 to 24; and 153 bronze medals were awarded to those scoring from 16 to 18.

The maximum individual score possible was 42 (which no‐one attained). The mean individual score was 14.582, with a standard deviation of 6.885. The following table shows how many contestants attained each possible score.
