International Mathematical Olympiad 2004 (Athens, Greece) Scores

At the 2004 IMO held in Athens, Greece, 486 contestants from 85 countries competed. 45 gold medals were awarded to those scoring at least 32; 78 silver medals were awarded to those scoring from 24 to 31; and 120 bronze medals were awarded to those scoring from 16 to 23.

The maximum individual score possible was 42 (which 4 contestants attained). The mean individual score was 16.226, with a standard deviation of 10.527. The following table shows how many contestants attained each possible score.
